Baby, it’s cold outside–and Polson has never been famous for its plowing capabilities

Polson School District announced a snow day for the first time in years; the decision has been received with sheer joy as PSD students make plans to spend the day in beautiful winter weather conditions.

However, as Polson students become excited for a free day to sled, sip cocoa and watch movies, it is important for them to remember why the snow day was called. As of right now, roads in Polson are extremely highly. Polson High School students need to remember to adhere to safe driving  habits–using snow tires and 4 wheel drive, stopping completely at stop signs, and driving at a speed that is appropriate for weather conditions.

Furthermore, students need to remember to stay warm. Polson is currently in a “warm spell”, but at 24 degrees, the warmth in the air doesn’t count for much. Students must dress appropriately for the weather.

Stay warm and be safe!
