Softball On Their Minds
Even though the snow is drifting down from the overcast skies, there are girls throughout Polson High School who are already looking forward to playing softball when the weather clears up. Many have been attending open gyms put on by softball head coach Larry Smith and assistant coach Don Toth. “Being able to reconnect with the girls and shake off the rust is what it is about,” said Julia Sanderson. “Of course loosening up my arm and getting a few reps in with batting before the season starts is also great”. Many freshmen have also been attending and the upperclassmen appreciate how hard they work. “If you want to get a good jump on the upcoming season, head to the open gyms,” concluded Sanderson. She believes that if everybody keeps going to the open gyms and working as hard as they do, that the upcoming season will be successful.
