Men of Worth Irish folk music concert

Submitted by on October 20, 2015 – 10:28 am

Scotsman James Keighen and Irishman Donnie Macdonald performing in an assembly for the Polson High School students in preparation for their six o’clock show tonight.

Men of Worth, and Irish folk music duo, performed at PHS Tuesday morning. They will also perform for the community Tuesday night at 6:30.

The troup started in 1986 when James Keighen and Donnie Macdonald decided to combine their musical strengths to perform traditional and contemporary folk music. They got their name from one of the folk songs they perform written by Archie Fisher.

Performing together in tours for more than two decades their goal is to stay true to the music, and present it in fun, lighthearted ways.

The show located at the PHS auditorium, starts tonight at 6:30 with the Shamrockers opening, and then the Men of Worth at 7:00. Only $13 in advance and $15 at the door. People 18 and under get in free.  Mission Valley food banks will also be accepting donations, so please feel free to bring nonperishable foods.
